The artist sees what others only catch a glimpse of. - Leonardo Di Vinci
As far back as I can remember, I have been searching for a special something that always seemed to be just out of my reach. I was between 5 and 8 years old, when I saw two events before they happened. I told my mother, but she shushed me saying it was bad luck to say things like that because they might come true. When they did happen, it made me feel as though I had caused them when there was no way I could have either caused or prevented either. From that time on, when I had any premonitions, I kept them to myself.
I was raised in a very religious, protestant family. We went to church at least 3 times a week and shared a family bible reading and prayer before bedtime. We attended revival meetings at which I felt a pressure to repent my sins. When I was 12 years old, I went to the altar and asked to be forgiven. Everyone around me was praying and thanking the Lord for taking me into the fold when I heard a voice that said, "This is not all there is." From that time on, I kept searching for what it was that I was still missing. I read everything I could about other religions and even did my senior term paper about them.
While raising my children, I did volunteer work at our church and tried to instill good ethics in my children and in my own life. As they got older, I was able to spend more time on my own search for what my purpose was in this lifetime. I chanced upon "Fate" magazine and my mind wondered about all the awesome stories. One day I was drawn to Jane Roberts' Seth Speaks, and this led me to experimenting with my own untapped abilities.
The more techniques I tried, the more assistance I received in my personal life. My first dowsing tool, in the mid-1970's, was a washer tied to a string. Automatic writing really appealed to me, and I got in the habit of asking for advice almost every day. Sometimes, I didn't understand the advice given until after an event happened.
While at a workshop to learn a healing technique, I met an awesome lady who was also on a spiritual learning path; we spend the next couple of decades learning together. We learned to do Tarot readings, dream interpretation, dowsing, channeling, astrology, etc. We took classes in crystals, herbs and flower essences. We went to every conference and convention we could find to learn more about ourselves and expand our creative and healing abilities. Twice we went to Sedona, AZ. and experienced the awesome energy vortices.
We traveled from New York to New Mexico, in our studies with the Light Harmonics Institute; and, in June 2004, we each received a MA degree in the Theory of Energy Medicine.
